Full-time Web Development

Job Description

OpenX is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Web Developer to manage, improve, and maintain its WordPress website. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, website performance, security, hosting, and integrations. You will work closely with the marketing and design teams to deliver a modern, fast, and user-friendly website.

This is a full-time remote position based in Krakow, Poland.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

  1. Convert Figma or Sketch designs into responsive and pixel-perfect web pages.
  2. Ensure the website works smoothly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  3. Implement and manage cookie consent banners across the website.
  4. Improve website user experience using modern web development practices.
  5. Explore and use AI tools to improve development efficiency and website functionality.

Back-End Development

  1. Build and maintain website pages, menus, footers, and sitemaps.
  2. Enable marketing teams to easily update website content and assets.
  3. Manage analytics tracking, code injections, cookies, and asset libraries.
  4. Handle WordPress updates, plugin installations, theme maintenance, and testing.
  5. Test all changes in a staging environment before deploying to the live website.
  6. Create and maintain technical documentation for website architecture and deployment processes.

Hosting & Website Management

  1. Manage the website hosting environment on WP Engine.
  2. Monitor and improve website security.
  3. Perform vulnerability checks and protect the website from threats and attacks.
  4. Manage and verify website and database backups.
  5. Maintain a staging environment for safe testing and version control.
  6. Continuously optimize website speed and performance to meet Google Core Web Vitals standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. 5–7 years of professional web development experience.
  2. Strong experience with WordPress development and customization.
  3. Good understanding of WordPress Customizer.
  4. Experience working with HubSpot.
  5. Experience using Asana for project management.
  6. Strong knowledge of WordPress integrations such as:
  7. HubSpot
  8. Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  9. Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  10. Other marketing and analytics platforms
  11. Understanding of technical SEO and WordPress SEO best practices.
  12. Ability to attend meetings around 6:30 PM local time when required.
